I'm sick of this "true love/soul mate" crap. Call me a crazed pessimist, but I can't be the only person who thinks that "soul-mate-true-love-forever-happy-ending" does not exist in real world. You're just brain washed by the media (especially Disney movies) to think that you have one true love somewhere out there, just waiting for you....
One? JUST ONE???!?!?!!! In this world with a population close to 7 billion people.... There's only one person that's right for you?! Those odds are ridiculous. You have a better chance winning the lottery 10 times in a row, while getting struck by lightning...... in the middle of a desert.
Now, this is is just my opinion and perspective of things. I do believe that you can meet someone you are compatible with, and love him/her very much and blah blah, but being "meant for each other" is such a cliche and you're just setting yourself up for failure and heartbreak. Love is possible, but true love is nonexistent. I mean what is "true love" anyway? And is there a difference between regular "untrue" love and "true" love? And if there is someone out there for everyone, why is it that there are still people out there who live their entire lives alone, and die alone?
There's no such thing as soul-mate-true-love-forever. It's all fiction... just like Santa Claus, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and the tooth fairy. You just haven't realized this yet.
