    The Butterfly Effect

"The butterfly effect is a phrase that encapsulates the more technical notion of sensitive dependence on initial conditions in chaos theory. Small variations of the initial condition of a dynamical system may produce large variations in the long term behavior of the system. This is sometimes presented as esoteric behavior, but can be exhibited by very simple systems."

I've been doing some thinking about the butterfly effect lately.. not the movie, but the chaos theory itself.

The thought that one miniscule moment in your life can change everything is somewhat of a preposterous idea.

Example: You wake a few minutes late to school, therefore you rush, drive recklessly, get in a car accident, horribly disfigure and break your leg, get your leg amputated, are permanently disfigured and crippled, fall in to a state of mental instability and depression, fail to meet and marry your significant other, and eventually die alone. HAHAHAH ok ok.... I know those circumstances are extremely extreme to the extreme, but it's totally possible. Because of those couple of minutes you had overslept, now you will die alone.

    It's only a theory.

    True love & Soul mates

I'm sick of this "true love/soul mate" crap. Call me a crazed pessimist, but I can't be the only person who thinks that "soul-mate-true-love-forever-happy-ending" does not exist in real world. You're just brain washed by the media (especially Disney movies) to think that you have one true love somewhere out there, just waiting for you....

One? JUST ONE???!?!?!!! In this world with a population close to 7 billion people.... There's only one person that's right for you?! Those odds are ridiculous. You have a better chance winning the lottery 10 times in a row, while getting struck by lightning...... in the middle of a desert.

Now, this is is just my opinion and perspective of things. I do believe that you can meet someone you are compatible with, and love him/her very much and blah blah, but being "meant for each other" is such a cliche and you're just setting yourself up for failure and heartbreak. Love is possible, but true love is nonexistent. I mean what is "true love" anyway? And is there a difference between regular "untrue" love and "true" love? And if there is someone out there for everyone, why is it that there are still people out there who live their entire lives alone, and die alone?

There's no such thing as soul-mate-true-love-forever. It's all fiction... just like Santa Claus, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and the tooth fairy. You just haven't realized this yet.

    Puppy Love

So around this time last year, my dog Lucky was diagnosed with cancer. It really broke my heart and I cried for days.  Fortunately, she's ok now but she's still not as healthy and energetic as she used to be. Lucky is like my baby girl and I really do mean it when I say that I love her & care about her. Never would I ever have had expected that kind of slap-in-the-face news last year.
That really made  me realize that I shouldn't take anyone for granted. You never know what's going to happen, when. Ya know how the saying goes... "You don't know what you have till it's gone" And that is so true.

    Steering back on topic-
Ever since I was young, I loved animals. I had so many pets... dogs, fish, bunnies, squirrels, birds, turtles, baby chicks & etc. (I never got a cat though cause I'm allergic to them )

I have a sister that is 12 years older than me, and I pretty much grew up alone.  I think that's why I love animals so much.. they're like my childhood companions!
I think it's pretty obvious when I say that my favorite animal is the dog. They're so cute and cuddly.. and when you make contact with those big beautiful puppy dog eyes, you're done. Your heart melts like ice cream on a hot sunny day. Life is good.
